Gmax testing in Rhode Island
Gmax testing has become widely recognised as a fundamental field safety test with regards to player injuries.
Gmax measures the impact attenuation of a playing surface. If too hard, excessive force will be returned to the player and the likelihood of injury can become unacceptable. This is defined in standard ASTM F1936. Testing is recommended on a biannual basis to allow for optimum maintenance plans and any remediation required.
