Gmax testing in Augusta, Georgia

Gmax testing is the most recognised testing method to measure the shock attenuation of artificial surfaces, a direct indicator of player safety.

Artificial surfaces that are too hard pose a risk to player safety as excessive force is returned to players upon impact.ASTM F355 & F1936 standards state that no field should have a gmax rating of greater than 200g’s.On the other hand, surfaces that are too soft would contribute to fatigue and could result in poor player performance.

Many factors contribute to the Gmax rating on a playing surface which can quickly change making a surface unsafe for use. It is therefore recommended to carry out Gmax testing at least twice per year. Contact us using the form below to find out more and one of our friendly experts will be happy to assist.
