Gmax pitch safety testing in Stuttgart, Arkansas

Surface Performance carry out Gmax, HIC & Clegg testing in Stuttgart, Arkansas to ensure all artificial and natural surfaces are in line with ASTM standard F1936. Testing is carried out by our accredited engineers to test method ASTM F355.

The harder the surface, the higher the gmax rating and therefore the more impact exerted on the player upon impact. ASTM F1936 requires playing surfaces to have a gmax rating no greater than 200g’s.

Gmax testing should be carried out at least once a year to ensure surfaces are closely monitored.
