Gmax testing measures the impact attenuation of the playing surface. This shows the force a user will absorb upon impact with the surface. If this is too high the risk of injury or concussion is greatly increased. A surface should not have a gmax rating of over 200g’s as stated in ASTM standards F355 & F1936.
