Gmax testing in Ontario, California is designed to ensure artificial and natural football pitches are performing to a high standard in respect to impact attenuation/shock absorption and are inline with ASTM F1936.

Surface Performance use a specialist F355 A-Missile which is dropped 10 different locations across the field. It is dropped 3 times per location and an average is calculated using the final two drops. ASTM require that none of these locations gmax value exceed 200g’s.
