Surface Performance are accredited to carry out Gmax testing in Tombestone, Arizona to ASTM F355 & F1936.

Gmax testing, or impact attenuation, measures the force absorbed by the artificial turf when impacted by a players torso or head. If the surface is too hard then it exerts excessive force on the player, increasing the risk of sustaining injury/concussion. A surface must have a gmax rating of below 200g’s to be deemed safe for use.
