Surface Performance are a FIFA accredited testing laboratory offering gmax and various other safety and performance testing in San Jose, California.

Gmax testing is desinged to measure the impact attenuation of a surface, indicating if it is safe for use. Results higher than 200G’s show that the shock attenuation is low, and excessive impact is sustained by the player thus resulting in higher chance of injury/concussion. Testing is carried out by our local trained technicians to ASTM test method F355 and standard F1936.

It is advised that gmax testing be carried out biannually to properly maintain the playing surface and monitor risks.
