Gmax & HIC (Head Impact Criterion) testing measure the impact a player absorbs upon impact with an artificial or natural grass playing surface. Using a F355 A-Missile, our accredited engineers would calculate the gmax rating at 10 different locations on the field. ASTM requires that none of these locations have a gmax rating of above 200g’s to be safe for use.

Gmax testing should be carried out at least once per year to ensure surface conditions and player safety is closely monitored.
