When a player falls and impacts with the surface, this impact is absorbed by either the player or the surface. Gmax testing ensures the surface is of high enough quality to absorb sufficient impact, thus minimising the likelihood of injury. Standards stipulate that Gmax results should be no higher than 200g’s, otherwise this risk of injury is at an unacceptable level. Testing is recommended biannually to allow for effective maintenance of your surface.
