Impact testing, more commonly referred to as Gmax testing, measure the shock attenuation of sports surfaces. This test can be carried out on both artificial and natural playing surfaces.

Surface Performance are qualified to carry out gmax testing to ASTM F355 & F1936. Using our specialist A-Missile we can calculate the Gmax rating of your field, ensuring it is performing to a high standard and not posing too great of a risk to the users.

Gmax testing is recommended to be carried out on a biannual basis to ensure player safety is closely monitored, and maintenance programmes can be implemented before reparations are not possible.
