Gmax surface testing in Irvine, California

ASTM require all synthetic and natural football fields have gmax testing carried out to test method ASTM F355 and to ASTM standard F1936.

Surface Performance are accredited to carry out gmax, HIC (Head Impact Criterion) & clegg testing in Irvine, California to ensure your field meets ASTM requirements.

Gmax, HIC & Clegg testing are designed to measure the magnitude of force an athlete would absorb upon impact with the surface. If a field is too hard it poses excessive risk of concussion or other injuries to the users.
