Surface Performance are accredited to carry out gmax testing in Ojai, California along with a range of other specialist safety and performance tests.

Using the F355 A-Missile – a 20lb, cylindrical weight, dropped from 24inches to measure how many G’s of force a surface can absorb and in turn the magnitude of the force returned to the athlete. ASTM require all pitches to have a gmax rating of below 200g’s to be deemed fir for use. Remediation works would be required if they are not in line with this standard.
