Gmax & HIC (Head Impact Criterion) have become fundamental tests to ensure users of artificial and natural playing surfaces are not exposed to unnecessary risks. By replicating the impact generated by a players torso (gmax) and head (HIC) we are able to measure the magnitude of force a player s exposed to upon impact with the surface.
