Gmax and HIC (Head Impact Criterion) testing focus on the impact absorbed by an athlete upon impact with the playing field. Using a weight and an accelerometer our specialist equipment measures the impact absorbed by the surface and therefore the remaining force absorbed by the player. If the force returned to the player is too great the risk of injury/concussion would also be high.
