Surface Performance Ltd are a FIFA, ITF, FIH accredited testing laboratory offering Gmax performance testing to all types of artificial playing surfaces throughout the USA, including Savannah, Georgia.

Gmax and HIC (Head Impact Criterion) testing focus on the impact absorbed by an athlete upon impact with the playing field. Using a weight and an accelerometer, our specialist equipment will measure the impact absorbed by the surface and therefore the remaining force left for the user to absorb. If this remaining force is too great the risk of injury/concussion would be deemed too great.

A fields gmax rating deteriorates with age, it is therefore advised that testing should be carried out at least 1-2 times per year to effectively monitor the conditions of the playing surface.
