Surface Performance are an independent FIFA accredited laboratory offering a range of artificial and natural surface testing in Belmont, California.

Gmax & HIC testing are designed to measure the impact players absorb upon impact with the playing surface. Gmax replicates a players torso whilst HIC (Head Impact Criterion) replicates a players head. These tests are imperative in monitoring the risk of a player suffering a injury or concussion. Testing is advised to be carried out at least once a year.
