Artificial and natural surface testing in Searcy, Arkansas
Surface Performance Gmax testing in Searcy, Arkansas measures two things, absorption and impact. A 20lb F355 A-Missile is dropped in 10 locations on the field, three drops per location. The missle measure the G forces upon impact which provides a Gmax rating for the surface. ASTM require that no test location has a gmax rating of greater than 200g’s.
Gmax testing should be carried out 1-2 times per year to ensure player safety is closely monitored.
