Surface Performance, to carry out Gmax testing, use the A-missile – a 20lb, cylindrical weight dropped from 24inches. The integrated accelerometer measures the g-forces exerted on the missile upon impact. This shows the impact attenuation of the surface. All results should be below 200g’s otherwise remediation would be required in order to comply with ASTM F1936.
