Gmax & HIC player safety testing in East Haven, Connecticut to ASTM F1936

To ensure players are not exposed to risk of sustaining serious injuries upon impact with artificial or natural surfaces a gmax and HIC test is required. To comply with ASTM standard F1936 a surface mustn’t be too hard as to return excessive force on the players.

ASTM deem any surface with a gmax rating of over 200g’s risk serious injury to players. Remediation works would be required in this case to lower the rating and therefore risks.
